According to lumberjack folklore, early townships being cleared for development were once divided into 36 districts. The 37th district, was an obscure location that wasn’t supposed to exist – a mysterious place where the loggers gathered to rest and refill after a long day’s work. Some even called it “a lumberjack’s heaven.” With a nod to North Tonawanda’s lumberjack history, District 37 Kitchen & Taphouse will put a decidedly Western New York spin on that legend.

District 37 Kitchen & Taphouse is under construction at the intersection of Main and Sweeney streets in beautiful downtown North Tonawanda, directly across from the historic Erie Canal. In the summer, garage doors will open to patio seating that faces the canal just past the red-bricked Sweeney Street. We welcome friends and families to join us year-round, to savor a good meal and enjoy a cold drink together. The menu boasts American-style cuisine, including gourmet burgers, in-house smoked barbecue and specialty wood-fired pizzas. A full-service bar will feature a cocktail menu and, naturally, 37 taps highlighting some of your favorite local craft beers.

A gathering place for families and friends of all ages, District 37 Kitchen & Taphouse will open its doors in early 2024. Watch our website for updates, or sign up for our email list to be among the first to know about our grand opening plans.
